Thanks so much for your wonderful website, and most especially your loving and inspiring story. I have been crocheting since 8 years old, and I too learned from my sweet Mema, and I too have a left-handed daughter that I tried to teach crochet but couldn't. That didn't stop her, though! I showed her how I did it, an she just figured it out on her own. She is now a Mommy herself, and a talented needleworker, seamstress, quilt maker, amongst many other things. I can't wait to check out all the wonderful patterns here. Thanks again!!
Lynn, thank you for your kind words of encouragement. It is exciting to hear from someone who has so much in common with me. Don't you just love to see your Memas "hands" at work through your daughter. I love to hear about the next generation of crafters. My own granddaughter is 8, and I am hoping that she too will show an interest in handicrafts. No sign of it so far. In the near future I am hoping to include free knitting patterns, sewing patterns, and quilting patterns in this blog. enjoy! dotty
